I know that I said that I wouldn’t just eat fried chicken everywhere I went, but Andrew Zimmern said that this place has the best fried chicken in America. How could I possibly pass that up?!?

I arrived at 5:10PM, only to be told that they close at 5PM. I must have looked completely devastated because the waiter told me that they still had chicken and he would make me a to go box. I jumped at that.

So here are my impressions: it was extremely tender and juicy, it also had a serious kick on the back end of every bite. The flavor was simple and straightforward which is what you want in chicken, but I did find it to be a bit salty, which is saying a lot since I love salty food. All in all it ranks pretty high up in my personal fried chicken hall of fame, but I don’t know that I can give it top billing.

If you are ever In The Big Easy it is most definitely worth a stop.
